Regenerative Travel Awards Honour Weeva Co-founder as Change Maker of the Year
Julie Cheetham, the Co-founder and Managing Director of Weeva and Head of Sustainability at Nianova Advisors, was announced as Change Maker of the Year at the Regenerative Travel Impact Awards hosted on 21 September 2023 alongside Climate Week NYC.
The awards celebrate innovative projects and purpose-led individuals who challenge, disrupt and are committed to solving our planet’s biggest problems through systemic action. Julie was recognised as, “a dedicated leader driving regenerative travel forward. Her resolute commitment reflects her pursuit of lasting industry transformation,” by Regenerative Travel.
The awards acknowledged hospitality and tourism’s substantive environmental impact – highlighting its contribution of 11% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions – and its significance to the global economy as a vital enabler to help meet climate goals.
