Future Strategy for Egypt’s Civil Aviation Sector Reviewed in High-Level Meeting

The presidency spokesman stated that the meeting focused on the future strategy of the civil aviation sector.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy, and Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Engineer Yehia Zakaria.

The objectives for the sector’s development in the upcoming period were presented, along with the progress of ongoing initiatives. Particularly the modernization of airports and capacity expansion, the expansion of the airline network, and the development of EgyptAir’s aircraft fleet. Additionally, discussions centered on the enhancement of navigation and air control systems, as well as service facilities related to the sector.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the continuation of intensive efforts to advance the civil aviation sector, with the goal of enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally. This advancement is intended to align with the comprehensive development process in the country.

A key focus will be on utilizing advanced systematic studies to drive development, modernization, and performance efficiency, while capitalizing on Egypt’s advantageous geographical location. The integration between the aviation and tourism sectors will be strengthened to make a substantial contribution to the national income.
