Vocational Schools of Tourism and Hospitality Management Opened IT Classes in Tunisia

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency opened IT classes in two vocational schools of tourism and hotel management in Hammamet and Sousse in Tunisia. It, now, aims to increase the technical and physical capacity of these schools.

Tunisian Ministry of Tourism established vocational schools of tourism and hotel management in 2017 in order to improve the service quality in tourism and increase employment in the country. It, now, aims to increase the technical and physical capacity of these schools. In this context, TİKA developed projects and opened IT classes in two pilot schools in Hammamet and Sousse.

The classrooms will serve as Microsoft Imagine Academy and Certiport Certification Center and give trainings to 260 students in a year.

Çağlar Fahri Çakıralp, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tunisia; Ahmed Cemmal, President of Tunisian Vocational Training Agency; and Ali Fuat Cebeci, TİKA’s Coordinator in Tunisia participated in the opening ceremony of the classroom in the Vocational School of Hotel Management in Hammamet.

TİKA started to carry out projects in Tunisia in 2012 to support the administrative and civil infrastructure of the country. Focused on technical hardware support and capacity increase, TİKA’s projects cover vocational training and technical cooperation programs in different fields, primarily security, health and agriculture.
