Winners of the MEA Future Leaders Challenge South Africa 2024 Announced
It’s no surprise that after such an inspiring two days of collaboration & ingenuity, the future of the South African Hospitality industry has never looked brighter.
After some incredible presentations, The University of Pretoria emerged as the winners of the Future Leaders Challenge South Africa 2024. With a presentation aimed at podcasting and social media influencers bridging the gap between generations in the industry, the students from UP displayed creativity and a real understanding of the intrinsic challenges faced by the industry.
A special mention must go to the runners up with The Swiss Hotel School South Africa in 2nd & University of South Africa (UNISA) in 3rd. The collective ideas shared across all presentations truly spotlight the potential this new generation of leaders possess and we can’t wait to see them taking over the industry in the future.
The goal of the Challenge is to inspire the industry with creative solutions to strategic issues, and this sentiment was echoed by Advisory Board Member Hubert Ummels (Owner and Founder, GameChangers Group), who said “Our whole advisory board is thrilled with the level of performance and ideas from these talented Future Leaders. We got inspired and have gotten insights on how this generations view is on our industry.”.
Thank you to all Sponsors & participants who made this event possible, your contribution will extend much further than the 2 day challenge and has ultimately provided the platform for these future leaders to start impacting our industry.
