FINAL CALL: Entries for the 2nd FEDHASA Hospitality Awards Close on30 January 2026
With entries for the 2nd FEDHASA Hospitality Awards closing in just four days, the Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa (FEDHASA) is making a final call for South Africa’s hospitality professionals to step forward and ensure the industry’s outstanding achievements receive the recognition they deserve.
The 2nd FEDHASA Hospitality Awards, which will take place on 15 April during the WTM Africa event in Cape Town, honours the people, brands, and businesses transforming South Africa’s hospitality sector.
“Every day, I witness hospitality professionals who pour their hearts into creating experiences that visitors will remember long after they’ve returned home,” said Lee-Anne Singer, Chairperson FEDHASA Cape. “These are the people who choose hospitality not as a stepping stone, but as their calling. Yet too often, their exceptional work goes unnoticed. These awards exist to finally shine a light on the professionals who are the heartbeat of our industry. We can’t wait to celebrate them the way they deserve – in front of their peers, their families, and the entire industry that benefits from their unwavering dedication.”
21 Categories Still Open for Entries
The awards feature 21 categories spanning four key areas:
- Commercial Excellence: Sales & marketing professionals, revenue managers, and hospitality consultants.
- Operational Excellence: General managers, front office leaders, concierges, executive housekeepers, and facilities managers.
- Food & Beverage Excellence: Chefs, restaurant managers, meetings & events professionals, and beverage specialists.
- Innovation & Impact: Finance professionals, talent managers, digital innovators, sustainability leaders, and rising stars.
Special recognition categories include the Trailblazer Award and Leader of the Year.
“Behind every great guest experience is someone who shows up early, stays late, and cares deeply about what they do,” added Singer. “If you manage a strong team or are proud of what your business has achieved, this is the moment to act.”
