Compagnie Hôtelière et Immobilière du Congo (CHIC), the leading hotel owner and developer in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), announced at AHIF 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya, the implementation of Accor-driven digital solutions covering five hotels of the CHIC group. These hotels, soon to open under the Novotel and Ibis Styles brands in four cities, will bring 660 keys to the country.
The purpose of this implementation is to provide customers with a unique experience through the deployment of Accor’s innovative digital solutions, which will be the first in the DRC to integrate cloud solutions with mobile keys and Opera Cloud systems. These solutions will facilitate “Fast Check-in and Check-out” for guests, enabling them to access their room via their smartphone, thereby offering the option to bypass the Front Office and benefit from the latest guest-centric tools. The fully mobile experience will optimize the management of hotel operations while reducing the ecological footprint by limiting the use of paper and magnetic cards.

The Accor Key digital key solution allows customers to use their smartphone to access Accor hotels without a physical key. By simply using the application, compatible with both Android and iOS systems, guests can open their room doors, access meeting rooms, elevators, and other spaces. The application is integrated with the ALL – Accor Live Limitless Lifestyle Loyalty application, enhancing the overall experience for guests.
