Coatings for Africa Returns to Johannesburg in Two Weeks
Over a three-day period, the specialised trade exhibition will provide a platform for valuable business interactions and networking within the coatings industry.
As the building and construction sector expands, the consumption of paints and coatings is on the rise, leading to increased demand in the South African market. In fact, South Africa’s booming coatings industry is set to hit US$2.1 billion by 2026 with an impressive annual growth rate of 5.6%[1].
Understanding the growth potential of the market and contributions to the economy, Coatings for Africa, the largest gathering for the coatings community in Africa, is set to return to Johannesburg, South Africa from 19-21 June 2024 at the Sandton Convention Centre. The event will feature more than 150 exhibiting brands from 15 countries, attracting visitors from various sectors within the coatings industry and offering unparalleled opportunities for networking and business, all under one roof.
In exclusive collaboration with supporting associations, the South African Paint Manufacturing Association (SAPMA) and the Oil and Colour Chemists’ Association (OCCA), Coatings for Africa is the ideal platform for manufacturers, raw material suppliers, distributors, buyers, and technical specialists like chemists and formulators, to meet in person, engage in technical discussions and conduct business negotiations.
Attendees will gain insights into the latest processes, share ideas with industry experts and build a strong network across the African continent. Notable exhibitors at the event include IMCD South Africa, BAMR, Synthetic Polymers, Brenntag, ORCHEM, Petrochem Middle East, Safic-Alcan and Delta Colours, amongst many others.
Paddy O’Neill, Associate Vice President of the Coatings Group said: “The coatings industry in South Africa is large and dynamic and we are delighted to facilitate business in the region with Coatings for Africa. The last edition of Coatings for Africa was a great success for both exhibitors and visitors, with more than 90% saying they will return for the next edition. We look forward to seeing everyone again in two weeks.”
“We would also like to thank our sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor Synthetic Polymers, Registration Sponsor Tristar, Badge Sponsor BASF and Gapuma, who have sponsored the bags. Coatings For Africa is already the most prominent event in Africa for the coatings industry, and as we continue to build on its success, the support from key industry players is very much appreciated.”
