Promising Start to the 5th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit Registrations
Registrations are off to a promising start for this year’s 5th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit, which will be hosted in Namibia once again from 31 May to 2 June 2023. According to African Tourism Partners, over 22 nations across Africa have already registered to participate and attend this year. Participants from around Africa and globally attended the summit in the past with Ministers, tourist authorities, politicians, SMMES, start-ups, students, entrepreneurs, and government representatives.
The summit gives African youth the opportunity to cultivate and extend their opportunities in tourism, travel, hospitality, aviation, and other related fields. Many programs have been developed to support the next generation and promote economic growth. Paving the way for the youth represents a way to cultivate future African leaders capable of overcoming current and upcoming complex challenges by not only looking to maximize their potential but also by guiding key leaders and a network of industry specialists to prepare them to go global.
Participation in the Innovation Challenge is exclusive to qualifying African entrepreneurs and youth under the age of 35, and registration will close on February 28, 2023. Attendance is encouraged since it allows many individuals to educate themselves on key trends, knowledge and insight, opportunities, and strategies whilst networking and opening up vital market access for SMMEs, youth, and start-ups.
The previous year MICE Expert and Managing Director of CPL events Portugal, Linda Pereira communicated the impact of the 4th summits exhibitions, “An exhibition during the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit will be a primary window to customers, a showcase to the offering that Namibia can show the world. Participation in the exhibition will demonstrate that the industry is alive in Namibia and drive sales, attract investment and accelerate promotion”.
