Creation of LAN (National Airline of Chile) by Commander Arturo Merino Benítez.
1946
First international flight Santiago – Buenos Aires.
1956
Inauguration of operations to Lima.
1958
LAN begins operations to Miami, USA.
1961
Creation of TAM (Taxi Aéreo Marilia) by five charter pilots.
1970
LAN begins offering flights to Europe.
2017
Implementation of the new business model in domestic and international markets.
2018
A US$ 400 million investment in the renovation of the Business cabins of wide and narrow body aircraft.
2019
LATAM Airlines Group and Delta Air Lines announce a strategic alliance combining the strengths of the leading airlines in North America and Latin America, respectively.
2020
Launch of the new digital experience, simpler and faster across all touchpoints.
