Throughout my career in Sales and Marketing, I have had the pleasure of working with many talented women on both the client and marketing sides. The hospitality sales arena globally showcases an excellent balance of women and men, and I have encountered few challenges in this regard. This positive experience may stem from my upbringing in Europe by a working mother who held strong beliefs in equal rights for men and women.

2. In your opinion, what unique perspectives or strengths do women bring to leadership roles in the hospitality sector, and how do these contribute to the success of your hotel?

I believe that everyone brings a unique perspective to a leadership role in our industry. The success of our hotel is driven by building strong networks and forming valuable connections that foster guest loyalty and strategic alliances. We promote open communication, seek and provide mentorship, and create a supportive environment for personal and professional growth. These qualities ensure that our hotel not only meets but exceeds guest expectations, positioning us as a leader in the industry.

3. How do you see the future of gender diversity and inclusion in the hospitality sector, and what advice would you give to other aspiring female leaders in this industry?

Traditional roles in the hospitality industry are evolving, with an increasing number of women taking on positions as chefs, sommeliers, and safari guides, among others. My advice is to have confidence in your abilities and persist in finding the role that suits you best. Embrace new challenges and responsibilities without hesitation, as they can lead to rewarding opportunities.
