Brookdale Estate appoints Brend Swanepoel as Food & Beverage Manager

Brookdale Estate in Paarl has appointed Brend Swanepoel as Food & Beverage Manager. Swanepoel brings with him extensive local and international hospitality experience and a strong operational focus and guest-centric approach to Brookdale Estate’s food and beverage offering.

Brookdale’s culinary offering includes The Tasting Room and The Bistro at Brookdale, which continues to showcase seasonal, produce-driven cuisine aligned with the estate’s relaxed yet refined dining philosophy.

Swanepoel holds a degree in hospitality and has approximately 15 years’ experience in the industry. Prior to joining Brookdale Estate, he spent two years with 7 Management / Robuchon International on Sindalah Island in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, where he gained valuable exposure to international luxury hospitality operations.

Before relocating to the Middle East, he held the position of Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Kievits Kroon in Pretoria, and prior to that served as an Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of four restaurants within a hospitality group. Earlier in his career Swanepoel worked as a flight attendant for a luxury VIP charter based in Turkey, further shaping his service ethos and attention to detail.
