Amani Collection unveils Amani Lamai Luxury Camp, bringing guests closer to the Great Migration

Amani Collections has officially opened Amani Lamai Luxury Camp, a new safari destination in Tanzania’s Northern Serengeti that places guests at the heart of one of Africa’s most awe-inspiring wildlife spectacles.

Tanzania-based Amani Collections creates authentic hospitality experiences that celebrate the country’s extraordinary landscapes, wildlife and culture. From the tranquil coffee estates of Arusha and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater to the vast plains of the Serengeti, each property has been carefully positioned to reveal a different side of Tanzania’s remarkable natural heritage.

The debut of Amani Lamai Luxury Camp is a momentous phase in the collection’s continued expansion.

Located less than one kilometre from the renowned Mara River Crossing No. 4, the camp offers a front-row seat to the dramatic river crossings that define the Great Migration. Between July and October, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra brave crocodile-filled waters, while August and September are widely regarded as the best months to witness the vast herds crossing repeatedly between Tanzania and Kenya.

Amani Lamai Luxury Camp offers eight tented suites, comprising six two-sleeper tents and two spacious family tents. Each suite features refined interiors, a private outdoor shower, deep soaking bathtub and a cosy fireplace for evenings under the African sky.

Guests can also enjoy two dining venues, a spa and gym. Conveniently located less than 10 kilometres from Lamai Airstrip and under 5 kilometres from Kogatende Airstrip, the camp provides seamless access for fly-in safari itineraries.

The launch of Amani Lamai Luxury Camp is just the beginning of an exciting period of growth for Amani Collection. In September, Amani Collections will welcome two additional properties in the Serengeti.

Amani Lobo Luxury Camp, perched on the Lobo Hills, will comprise five luxury tents, two restaurants, two bars, a shared swimming pool, spa and gym, all complemented by panoramic views across the Serengeti wilderness.

Also opening in September, Amani Lobo Luxury Lodge will introduce a new level of safari accommodation with six two-bedroom villas and one one-bedroom villa. Each villa includes a private lounge, bar, dining area, swimming pool, outdoor shower and deep soaking bath, while the lodge will also offer two restaurants, a wine cellar, spa and fitness centre.
